The local MP and the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Test Valley attended the launch of the Sunday Afternoon Tea Club at the Longmeadow Centre, Cricketers Way, Andover.

"Test Valley Community Services, Age Concern, Testway Housing, Andover Family Learning and the local churches have formed a steering group to address the needs of people in the area, and this was one of the projects they identified as meeting a need."

"It was good to meet so many people at the first of these tea parties; all credit to Shirley Baker and her team for taking the initiative. I expect even more people to come along to the next tea in a month's time on May 19th."
