Villagers at Hurstbourne Priors celebrated the completion of the refurbishment and extension of their village hall and cricket pavilion by holding a reception, attended by the Deputy Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Rita Burgess.

"The hall has been improved enormously, making it lighter and larger. It really is a quality scheme"
Funds for the projects came from Basingstoke and Deane, Hampshire Playing Fields and a number of local donors."

Also unveiled was a new coat of arms of Lord Camden, who originally donated the hall to the Parish Council. This was done by Marilyn Smith.
