One of the largest lobbies the House of Commons has ever seen arrived at Westminster. The queue was so long that Sir George had to bicycle a mile to find the North West Hampshire section of the lobby.

"We met up onthe other side of the Thames. I was most impressed that so many had come up to Westminster on one of the hottest days of the year. They explained their views firmly and clearly and I agree with them. The elimination of poverty and the promotion of sustainable self-development should be at the heart of our policies for the developing world. This means looking at some of the protectionist policies within Europe and opening up more markets to trade from the third world."
