Gideons International West Hants Branch presented Sir George with their Millennium 2000 Years Bible.
"David Eagles told me the story of a man who was determined to end his life and booked himself into a hotel in Basingstoke. He started to read the Bible and then changed his mind. I commend the work of Gideons International, who take the bible to schools and explain its relevance to today."
"Their Bible will be very valuable to me - I was recently invited to read the lesson in a local church, and when I got to the lectern, there was no bible there. I will take this edition with me whenever I am asked to read the lesson."

"The Gideons Bible is particularly valuable because it has a section in the front which indiactes which readings are most appropriate for the circumstances
