The Rev Hamilton and Suzanne Lloyd celebrated their diamond wedding with parishioners and friends at Litchfield after Mattins at St James the Less.

They were married on July 18th 1942 while Hamilton was in the RAF in Oxford. He was studying at Jesus College and Suzanne was at st Hildas. After retiring as Vicar of Whitchurch, Hamilton Lloyd preaches at Litchfield.

"Hamilton masterminded a great service in church, with readings from Jane Austen and Neville Cardus. Although Litchfield is a small community, he brings in people from miles around who come to hear him preach. He is still in great form and it was generous of him and Suzanne to invite us all back to a reception at his home."
