The dead cherry tree outside Andover Museum had to be severely trimmed back; but the Museum saw this as an opportunity. Local sculptor David George was commissioned to make something out of the torso that remained, and here he is hard at work. with the final product below. His remit involved a Celtic cross and a horse. "Top marks to the Museum and David George for some lateral thinking; perhaps there are other dead trees in the town that could be put to equally good use."
