To mark Advice Week, Sir George visited Andover and District Citizens Advice Bureau at Wessex Chambers in Andover, at the invitation of the Manager, Ange Moon.

"CAB's are becoming more and more important; first, life is getting more complicated. Whether you are filling in a benefit application form, completing your self-assessment for tax, or applying for a Student Loan, it is all more complicated than it used to be. Second, the consequences of getting it wrong are more severe. If you don't read the small print when you switch your mobile phone account, for example, you can be seriously out of pocket. And, third, with the cutbacks in Legal Aid and the rising costs of seeing a solicitor, it is difficult to get professional advice at a reasonable price."
"That is why I welcome the work of Andover CAB - and the others in my constituency. They do heroic work and valuable work- particularly with the outreach scheme -but they need more volunteers to respond to demand."
