Sir George hands over the keys to Mr and Mr Lewis, as they move into the Croudace development – Western Mews – near Andover Station.
Croudace gave the Lewis’ a certificate worth £1000 and a bottle of champagne. The Lewis have moved from Cricketers Way in Andover.
“ I have watched this scheme progress over the past year, as I drive or bicycle past it nearly every day” said Sir George. “It is exactly the sort of scheme we need, if we are to protect the countryside – a scheme that recycles land in our towns, at acceptable densities, and promotes good design and layout”
The site was a Pickford’s depository. “It now looks a lot better, and I was delighted to hear that the houses have nearly all sold.”
