For two successive nights, the Goodworth Clatford Village Club was crammed full of people watching the CADS performance of Alan Ayckbourn's "Between Mouthfuls" and David Tristram's "Last Tango in Lower Clatford."

"This was amateur dramatics at its best, with the Clatfords displaying their home-grown talent. All the actors were superb, with Cliff Tucker's Waiter in the first part particularly memorable. In the past two years, since they started, they have put on two other productions before these and are going from strength to strength"

Between the plays, Suzanne Webber provided background music on the piano, and the price of the ticket included supper in the interval. A snip at £8 a ticket1

CADS is now two years old! We have kept a fairly consistent level
of membership BUT we are on the look out for new members. If
you have any leaning towards acting, singing or other on stage
activities please contact us at one of the telephone numbers
shown above - we would make you feel really welcome.

CADS depends on many helpers - We are eternally grateful to these people who give
freely of their time - you can imagine how much work goes into
making the scenery, for example. If you would like to help us
around show time just give one of us your name and leave the rest
to us.

Like many organisations,we have to run our society on a business
footing. Budgets for shows can exceed £1000. This includes costs
such as hire of the hall, lighting, sound, insurance, performing
licences, food, printing etc. For our first show we were grateful to
TVBC for a grant to get us going. The Jubilee Panto, that was
written and performed for the village, was extremely well
supported resulting in a welcome boost to our funds.
