The North West Hampshire Patrons Club and the Andover Business Forum held its Annual Dinner at the Carlton Club. Sandy Copland, Chairman of the Patrons, took the Chair and the guest speaker, Theresa May MP, was introduced by Sir David Mitchell, the former MP for NW Hants. Sir George thanked her at the end of her speech and questions and answers.

Theresa May stressed the importance of unity within the Party, and said that the position had improved since the Leader had made his "Unite or Die" speech a fortnight earlier. She focussed on the need to expose som of the failings of the Government, as it moved into choppy waters, and to develop the vision of a Conservative alternative. Finally, she emphasised the importance of effective campaigning on the ground.
