Monxton Village Hall was the location for a fundraising Christmas Fair for Amport School, and for the churches in Amport and Monxton. A glass of Sherry from Neighbour Care greeted Christmas shoppers, who could then invest in cakes, Christmas cards, toys, honey and jam.
The sign "Amport Tarts" attracted many to the cake stall.
