Residents of Penton Mewsey, Penton Grafton and Penton Harroway packed inot the Village Hall to listen to a presentation by Parish Councillor John Payne on the impact of the proposals for Penton of the Test Valley Draft District Plan.
"There was appreciation of the provision of a green lung between Andover and Penton; and some relief that there was no proposal to extend the West Portway Industrial estate towards the village. Residents were encouraged to write in to support this aspect of the plan."
Concern was expressed about the noise from the A303 and the road to Devizes, but this was outwith the immediate scope of the plan.
