Meeting possibly for the last time in a February, the Palmer Milburn beagles came to Binley for their meet.
"These beagles don't hunt foxes, but hares. But they don't usually catch anything. If they caught a hare, it would be a fairly ill one. A healthy hare would outrun these hounds."
"Following these beagles round the Hampshire countryside is a healthy outdoors pursuit for a wide range of people. I honestly don't think this activity should be criminalised. There are more importasnt challenges that confront the Government."
