Roy Barker, Chairman of the Workers' Educational Association's Andover and District Branch invited the Mayor of Test Valley Borough Council - Cllr Tony Gentle - and Sir George to meet tutors and course members on the centenary of the foundation of WEA. Co-hosting was Richard Ryder, Deputy Chairman.
"The Andover branch started four years ago, but from a standing start they have developed a wide range of courses and are growing in popularity."
"David Owen Norris is taking a course on the square piano, and there is another one on local churches. The Andover brnach is clearly going from strength to strength."
