The Mayor of Test Valley and Sir George opened Ben Walton's new dry cleaning shop in Union St.

"The Walton family has been trading in Andover for 24 years and at present Ben's mother Jan owns Oakley Cleaners on the Weyhill Road and his father Mike operates Savoir `Fer' Services (Linen Hire and Domestic Laundry) in Tidworth."

"Ben, who as co owner with his mother will be managing Ben's Dry Cleaners, has grown up in the industry and learnt the ropes at Oakley Cleaners for 6 years before moving on and spending several years running a laundry and drycleaning business in North London where he was responsible for meeting the cleaning needs of quality London hotels and their guests."

"He is fortunate now to have the opportunity to return to his home town and work for himself in a location that has historically been a drycleaners for over 30 years, having
been Jack o Newbury's Drycleaners before it became Sketchleys. We all wish him well."
