Sixteen teams took part in the Andover Professional Golf Day at Hanmpshire Golf Club, raising over £3200 for Barnardos.

The group has been in existence since 1999 and has been responsible for organising a Charity Golf Day for the past 4 years. "The founder member of the group, Mark Hyson of Hysons Accountants has worked very hard co-ordinating the teams efforts, along with Jan Budzynski who also finds the starter and organises the tote, Chris Kitchener of Pentagon Mercedes - a new member who has worked enormously hard to gain sponsorship and provided prizes and Quiller Taylor of Connells Estate Agents, another new member who has worked very hard to get teams."

Other local sponsors were MD Services,Tony Garland, Point to Point Couriers,Black Lion Transport, Andover Tachograph, Pentagon Mercedes, Essebourne Manor, The Game Larder and Thruxton Circuit.

In total the group has raised over £8000 for Barnardo's work with disadvantaged and disabled children and young people.

1st Prize went to a team from HSBC, who called themselves The Truffle Pigs. Their Captain was Mike Oliver. Runner up were The Quaffers, captained by Jan Budzynski
