Tadley Conservatives hired the Ambrose Allen Centre in Tadley so local people could meet their elected representatives.
Four levels of Government were represented, with Tadley Town Councillors, Basingstoke and Deane District Councillors, one County Councillor and one MP.
"A number of general issues were raised with us, from licensing of taxis at Basingstoke, to the recent increase in the council tax, to speeding on local roads, water and drainage problems and over-development of the town. At the same time, people were able to discuss personal problems, such as housing, with their elected representatives. These informal meetings are what people seem to prefer, to the set piece, single-subject public meeting."
