Sir George visited Aspects of Fitness at Scrapps Hill, Basingstoke. He was shown round by Bryan Ironside, the proprietor.
“I was most impressed by the equipment available at this fitness centre, and quite understand why it has attracted 700 members.” Sir George tried out one of the cycling machines, and talked to Bryan about his plans to expand the centre and offer more services.
“This centre is in a listed barn, which has been ingeniously and tastefully converted. It shows what can be done to bring back into use disused farm buildings, and provide jobs and services for local people.”
