Along with MP's from All Parties, Sir George signed a petition organised by the British Cardiac Patients Association asking the Government to do more for patients with weak hearts.
"If the problem is diagnosed early, treatment is available. But diagnosis is not that easy - hence this campaign which I whole-heartedly support!"

Extract from letter of invitation.
Improving the diagnosis and care of heart failure patients is a Government priority. However, the condition is difficult to diagnose and, as the number of patients increases, the pressure on resources is increasing. The event will allow patients, healthcare professionals, and Government to engage on how the UK can improve access to treatment and assist the NHS in achieving its objectives.

The reception will provide the opportunity for the BCPA to launch a plan for the future of treatment for heart failure patients.
