Conservatives win Winton By-Election

Following the death of Cllr Alan Smith in July, the Conservatives held the seat in Thursday's by-election.
"Chris Lynn fought a good campaign, and his vote was higher than that of all the other candidates put together. I know he will serve the Ward well."

On a 28.6% turnout, the votes were as follows.

Lynn (Con) 902
Metcalf (LD) 642
Cotter (Lab) 95
McCabe (UKIP) 60
Todd (Green) 56
