Penton Players perform Alan Ayckbourn
6 Nov 2003
Penton's Amateur Dramatic Society - the Penton Players - performed two Alan Ayckbourn comedies in Penton Village Hall.

"Aurelia and I attended the premiere and know that everyone will enjoy the next two performances as much as we enjoyed the first one. They performed Between Mouthfuls and Mother Figure with wit and sensitivity. At £10 as ticket, to include a two course meal in the interval, it was remarkable value for money."

"It is invidious to single out any one performer from the eight stars on stage, but Karen Walter's portrayal of Lucy Compton in the second play was memorable. Any mother whose life is dominated by small children will identify with her."
