Congratulations to Kingsclere Broadband Campaign
25 Nov 2003
I was delighted to learn that Kingsclere, where BT had set a very difficult ADSL target because of the high cost of getting the bandwidth there, now has a local wireless service, provided by local company FDM Broadband Ltd, with support from SEEDA, who have provided enough funding to reduce FDMs installation cost by about £150 per user for the first 100 people to take up the service.

This local initiative by Kingsclere people has born fruit very quickly and shows what can be done when local people work together effectively with the local council.
