Mardi Brass was founded in 1992 by former students of the Royal College of Music. They perform music spanning five centuries, from renaissance to Jazz, using only music composed specifically for the brass quintet or their own arrangements.
"Andover Music Club did well to choose Mardi Brass for the November concert. I had heard them on the radio, and it was great to hear them live. Not only are they first class musicians, but they are also great entertainers. Their introductions to the items on the programme were very witty - with Jeff Miller being particularly popular."
"The pieve I most enjoyed was William Byrd's Battell Suite - not often performed - but I know many in the audience were captivated by the jazz numbers."
