Tadley Town Council organised a Christmas Tree Lights Switch on Party outside their offices. The honours were performed by local Concorde pilot, Adrian Thompson, who flew the last commercial flight to New York.
Loddon Valley Lions raised funds for the local CAB, and carols were sung to a local brass band.

"This was a great event; normally held outside Budgens, it was moved to the Town Council offices while Sainsbury rebuild the store. There was a splendid atmosphere, and an opportunity for local charities to set out their stalls in the Ambrose Allen Centre."
