Newtown Village Hall Committee held a Mulled Wine Evening to raise money for the Childrens Hospice, Naomi House.
"Doug Ellis and his team raised £125 for this local charity by holding a Mulled Wine and Mince Pie evening after the Carol Service at Newtown Church."
"It was good of Mel Gatwood to give the occasion atmosphere by playing some jazz while the party went on. The issue of Newtown Common and charges for accessing houses that run over it continues to be live, with some publicity imminent in the Daily Mail."
