Under the umbrella of Hog the Limelight, supported by Hampshire County Council, the Ensemble Champagne performed in the King Edward VII Memorial Hall in Upper Clatford. There was a some drama as their lead violinist broke her wrist the day before, but Jean Paterson stepped in at the last moment so the concert could go ahead.
They performed to a packed and appreciative audience, playing Mozart, arias from opera and ending up with arrangements from modern musicals.
"Folk in Upper Clatford really enjoyed this quality performance by artists who enjoyed playing and who introduced the items with humour and sensitivity."
