Sir George visited Naomi House, the Children's Hospice in Sutton Scotney, with two Trustees, John Evans and Nicholas Jonas.
"This is a tremendous facility, offering respite care for children who are seriously ill, and support for their families. It costs £1.3m per annum for the high quality care that is offered, all of which has to be raised. It is a tribute to the support for the project that so far the necessary funds have been raised."
Sir George discussed future fundraising strategy with Hugh Thompson, the Fundraising Coordinator; and pledged his support for any approach that might be made to the Government.
