Residents of Penton Mewsey and Penton Grafton packed into the Village Hall to listen to Rod Eggington talking about the village, and illustrating his talk with some of the 2000 slides he had taken of the village.
"Most of the village knows Rod because he repairs and services our cars, and because he is active in the Church and looks after the pond and its wildlife. But not everyone was aware of how much he knew about the village and the families who live here; and I certainly didn't know of his tremendous collection of pictures spanning some forty years."
"We could see how the village had changed; we could see the village enjoying itself; and we could see some first rate photographs, brought to life by Rod's anecdotes. A quality evening."
