The Phoenix Centre in River Way, Andover was officially opened by Cllr Pat West, Mayor of Test Valley Borough Council. With funds from Hampshire County Council, Hampshire County Council and the Police Authority, this new community centre will provide training and recreational facilities for residents of River Way, Pilgrims Way and from further afield.
“Local residents have been campaigning for this for many years – and I know that Paul Leedham has been particularly energetic, along with Sue Heald, Rachel Perry and Karen Hamilton. It is a splendid building – light and warm – and the displays of Jujitsu and jiving put on at the opening were very impressive.”
