The Hampshire Worthington's County Cup Final was w32on by Andover All Blacks, when they beat the favourities, Basingstoke, 9-5 at Andover's home ground in Charlton.

"As Basingstoke play in a higher league and haven't lost a County Cup match in six years, Andover were very much the underdogs. This was their first final. But they played superbly, took their chances and had territorial advantage for most of the game. Marc Wilding led his team well."
