All Hallows Church, Whitchurch was packed for the Service of Induction of the new Vicar, Rev Kelvin Inglis. Many of his former parishioners from Maybush in Southampton came to the service.
The Induction was performed by the Venerable John Guille, Archdeacon of Winchester; and the Collation was conducted by Rt Rev Trevor Willmott, Bishop of Basingstoke.
"Whitchurch has had a fairly long interregnum since Michael and Marilyn Grylls left last year; but everyone is delighted with Kelvin and Helen, and their three young daughters. They seem to have settled well into the town, and there was certainly a very warm welcome at the service and at the reception afterwards."

Representatives of all the local churches were at the service, as were vicars from neighbouring Church of England churches.
