The League of Friends of Andover Hospital held a Pig Roast and Duck Race in the grounds of Bransbury Mill, near Barton Stacey.
The Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Neville Whiteley, attended, along with the Mayoress. Lady Young, President, thanked Sally Merison for the use of her home; Mary Cornelius Reid for sponsoring the pigroast and Janet Palmer, Vice-Chairman, for doing so much of the organisation.
The Duck Race raised £500 - each duck being sold for £1 - and more was raised by the raffle, with tickets being sold by Cllr Marion and Jock Kerley.
Ferret racing was an additional attraction
