The Test Valley Brass Concert Band gave a concert entitled "Young at Heart Showtime" in the auditorium at John Hanson Community School. They raised funds for local branches of Age Concern and the British Heart Foundation.

"Under their guest conductor Steve Large, they played a range of marches, and classical and popular tunes - with a number of excellent solos"

"It was good to see such a large turn out, including folk from local residential and nursing homes and from Senior Citizens Clubs"

The Mayor and Mayoress of Test valley were there, along with past Mators Tony Hope and Pat West with their spouses.
