"It was a pleasure to launch this fund-raising ride, and to see it so well supported - and so professionally organised. Testbourne is a successful and popular school, and I support its application for Specialist School Status 100%. If successful, this will bring additional staff and funding, enabling the school to do even better."
"The school already has a formidable reputation in the arts - and so it makes sense to focus on this to achieve Specialist School Status. But they have to raise £50,000 before they can make their bid - hence the cycle ride, which I have had pleasure in starting and supporting."

The ride took place on Saturday 25th September, and the planned route included visits to the partner primary schools of: Longparish, Barton Stacey, Overton, St Mary Bourne and Whitchurch, using minor roads and a short section of track. At least three staff cycled the route, including a qualified cycle ride leader. Other staff or adult volunteers were stationed at each of the named primary schools to help supervise students joining or leaving the ride. The school mini-bus acted as a back up vehicle.
