After helping at Sherborne St John School, Barclays Volunteers moved on to Saxon Wood Special School at Rooksdown. They built a new path, providing easier access from a classroom to the playground (many of the children have a mobility problem; they tidied up a newly planted bluebell wood, removed loads of fallen leaves and weeded the gardens.
"About 2O Barclays employees helped during the day, including one whose mother used to work at the school. Lorraine Ashover, Barclays Relationship Manager, coordinated the work, and they were helped by three members of staff. I welcome this involvement of a major employer in community based projects and am grateful to the individuals for giving upa Saturday for helping at the school."
