Bishop rededicates St Pauls Church Centre
14 Nov 2004
The Bishop of Basingstoke, the Rt Revd Trevor Willmott, rededicated St Pauls Church Centre at Smannell Rd Andover, following extensive rebuilding work.

Speaking at the Service, the vicar Brian Cox thanked Hampshire County Council, Test Valley Borough Council and his Churchwardens for their help in raising the money.

"This Church Centre is intensively used by the local community. The last time I was there, it was full of childminders and the children they care for; before that, I addressed the University of the 3rd Age who meet there; and I know the Andover Wine Society also meets there. The Vicar has done a superb job in raising the funds for the rebuilding - and I know the DLO also helped with some of the work. It was good to see the Church so full for the rededication and for the Confirmation Service that took place at the same time."

Also attending was Cllr Pat West and her husband Peter.
