The Mayor of Basingstoke & Deane, Cllr Gwen Richardson, officially opened the extended and refurbished facilities at The Tadley CAB office in Franklin Avenue.

"There is now more space for interviews, and I was pleased to see that more resources have been put into advice on debt management and on community care. I know how much people rely on the CAB for professional, impartial and feee advice in an ever more complicated world."

Sir George was shown round by the Bureau Manager, Sue Cutler and met volunteers and those who used the bureau regularly.

"A new computer-based recording system has been introduced which has required extensive retraining by volunteers. But it will enable the CAB to offer a still higher quality of service. I was delighted to hear that, following a recent audit, Tadley CAB was placed in the top 14% of Advice Bureaux."

"Tadley needs more volunteers to complement the ones they already have. Anyone interested should email TadleyCAB@dial.pipex.com"
