Sir George cut the ribbon to formally open "Over My Shoulder" - a fair trade shop next to Whitchurch Town Hall.
"I wish Sallie and Neil Cheney well in this new venture. It gives shoppers the opportunity to buy quality products, knowing that they are also helping some of the most deprived communities in the world. I was very impressed with what I say and bought a couple of present for my family."
"They have called the shop after Sallie's Aunt - Jessie Matthews - whom I remember in Mrs Dale's Diary. She was a singer, actress and dancer and one of her favourite songs was "Over My Shoulder""
