"I was alarmed to hear that local youths are skateboarding on the roof of the Library - putting themselves and passers-by at risk and doing no good to the recently-repaired roof." Sir George will pursue this with the local police. "There is a broader problem of young people hanging around the library - and sadly one of the trolley collectors from Sainsbury's was assaulted. Perhaps CCTV in the area would act as a deterrent."
Inside the library was in good shape, and Sir George spoke to Sarah Gray, the Library Manager, and other staff.
