Notwithstanding some vile weather, North West Hampshire Conservatives took to the streets of Andover on Saturday morning, distributing balloons and leaflets to shoppers.
"We were joined by the local Labour Party, and worked amicably side by side. We both wondered where the Liberal Democrats had got to."
"We picked up some local issues, and were able to help quite a lot of people who would be away on polling day by giving them postal vote forms or proxy forms to fill in and deliver. Tuesday is the last day for this."
Sir George popped in to the local Tesco Metro to catch up on the weekend shopping.
"Our eldest son, Gerry, popped over for the morning to help out. This is the ninth General Election he has helped his father with."
