The four Parliamentary candidates for the North West Hants constituency met together for the last time under the auspices of Churches together in Andover. They were chaired by the Rev Derek Overfield, Industrial Chaplain and Minister at Andover URC Church. The Rev Jill Benthall was the time keeper, ensuring that no reply lasted over three minutes.
"This was a good-humoured and informative exchange, with a consensus on some key issues such as Overseas Aid. While most of those present appeared to have made up their minds how to vote, there were about a dozen who were undecided. I hope they found the Any Questions session helpful."
About 80 people attended the meeting at Andover Guild Hall, which started at 8pm and ended at 9.30.
The candidates are
Sir George Young (Con)
Mick Mumford (Lab)
Martin Tod (LibDem)
Peter Sumner (UKIP)
