Sir George unveiled a plaque to open a new industrial development at Weyhill, offering high quality Industrial and Warehouse premises close to the A303.
The development was a joint one between Abacus - a subsidiary of McAlpines - and Ravensbourne.
"This development helps to complete this key site at Weyhill. The parish council have restored the fairground site, and we have the small business units well-established there; we have the recent residential development which is proving very popular; and now we have these spanking new units offering competitive facilities with good communication links."
