After sweeping through the shops in Kingsclere and having tea with residents in Rose Hodson Court, the Conservative Party canvassed parents collecting their children from Kingsclere Primary Clere. With Sir George and Lady Young was County Cllr Keith Chapman and Borough Cllr Alan Denness
"Kingsclere is rich in specialist shops, which the parish council do so much to support, and it was good to see them trading well. People would like to see more police out and about and were interested in our commitment to recruit an extra 5,000 police officers every year."
"It is becoming increasingly clear that the only party doing any canvassing across the constituency is the Conservative Party. At a time when people find political parties remote and inaccessible, it is sad that the other two parties appear to be uninterested in listening to people on the doorstep."
