As the campaign draws to its end, the Conservatives focus on the County Council seats in the North West Hants constituency where the results may be closest.
"The county boundaries are new ones, so no one knows exactly what the balance in any of them is. But Andover North is likely to be closely fought, and Ken Whitehouse has been working hard in the ward since the county council election campaign began at the end of March. It has been a pleasure to work along side him, and we had an excellent reception in Vernham Dean - one of the northernmost villages in the ward. There is concern that another year with a lot of rain could lead to flooding in and around the village, and a feeling that not enough has been done since the last floods two years ago. I have committed myself to working hard in the next Parliament for suitable flood prevention measures."
