A new quality standard mark is being adopted by butchers, supermarkets and suppliers across the country. Launched by the English Beef and Lamb Executive, the mark can only be earned where the beef or lamb was born, raised and slaughtered in England. The meat has also to achieve high standards of animal welfare and deliver more consistent eating quality.

"These standards are higher than those required by the law, with a supply chain which is fully assured and independently inspected at every stage from farm to meat counter. The mark will help people who want to support local farmers and higher welfare standards. Well done Philip for all he does to provide quality products and quality service to people in Andover. I was pleased to hear that he now operates a delivery service to customers such as local pubs."
