The Annual Cricket Match between the Lords and Commons and the Earl of Carnarvon's Team took place on Sunday.

"I was not sure which team to support. Lord Carnarvon is a good friend, and generous benefactor in North Hampshire. But many of my chums were playing in the Parliamentary team. Neutrality was the preferred choice. They could not have asked for a better day - and sadly I had to leave before the end."

2nd from left Lord Razzall. Second from right Lord King. White hat in the middle John Denham MP. 4th from right, Mark Lancaster MP
