Government has failed on NHS Dentistry, says local MP
11 Aug 2005
Figures released to Sir George Young by the Government show that the number of people registered with an NHS dentist in North Hampshire has fallen from 100,637 in 1997 (the last year of a Conservative Government) to 82,521 now.

“Where as nearly half of my constituents were registered with an NHS dentist in 1997, today’s percentage is only 39%.”

“Scarcely a week goes by without my getting a letter from a constituent who has been unable to register with an NHS dentist – and can then only do so at a location that is far from convenient. Along with other Hampshire Conservative MPs, I will continue to campaign for a more effective local response to the need for NHS Dentistry.”
