Tom Thacker, a member of St Mary Bourne Branch, organised the annual clay pigeon shoot at Binley.
With 64 guns, the event was fully subscribed.
"The team from the Coronation Arms usually win the Leonie Rickard Trophy; but as the pub is temporarily closed, they have renamed themselves the George Gunners. Under Matt Culley's captaincy, they won again; with team member Phil King (next to him holding the champagne in the picture) winning the prize for best gun."
"Despite some atrocious weather, they got through the programme and then enjoyed a beer and a chilli con carne lunch in the marquee. After a successful Golf Day last week, the Party is doing its bit to promote outdoor sporting activity."
