Sir George regrets job losses at ABRO in Andover
8 Nov 2005
The Minister for the Armed Forces, Adam Ingram, announced job losses at ABRO (Army Base repair Organisation), saying there would be up to 210 redundancies across the ABRO sites, including some at the Head Office function in Andover.
"We will lose 77 jobs in Andover, which is very sad for the families involved. I hope they will be able to find alternative work in the area. I only hope that the Government is not cutting ou logistics capability to the extent that the front line is starved of vital support, or so we don't have the spare capacity we may need for a period of conflict."
