Sangeeta switched on Tadley lights
25 Nov 2005
Sangeeta Bhabra, newsreader on Meridien TV, switched on the Christmas Lights in Tadley, after the traditional singing of carols accompanied by Tadley Brass Band.
"On one of the coldest days of the year, there was a record turnout in Tadley for this event, brilliantly organised by Tadley Town Council, with generous sponsorship from local organisations."
Loddon Valley Lions organised a collection for Peach Cottage, Mount Pleasant, and the Ambrose Allen Centre hosted a Chrsitmas Fair. Speaking before Sangeeta were Cllr David Leeks, Jo Slimin and Sir George, who gave seasonal greetings to those present.
